Hi there, Esteemed Reader!
I hope this post finds you well. As you know, I love this blog and I've been very pleased with it lately. Did you see my literary agent, Dr. Uwe Stender, was here talking a little about me and my newest manuscript? Or how about our old friend Joanna Volpe talking about her love of middle grade?
We've had several amazing literary agents and authors drop by to face the 7 Questions in recent weeks, including some big-time heroes of mine. And we've talked about some great books. I am beside myself with our good fortune. I'm also exhausted:)
Remember, despite all the amazing folks who drop by, this blog is still run by just little old me. To keep from getting burned out, I've decided I should occasionally take breaks. Therefore, whenever I've got a ton of real-life stuff going on keeping me from my online ninja stuff, I'm just going to tell you about it, Esteemed Reader, and excuse myself for a week.
This is one of those weeks. So there will be no agent or author interviews this week and no Book of the Week. Don't worry, we're still going to talk about Chapter 8 from Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire on Wednesday because if I start skipping weeks of the Ninja Book Club, we'll never finish that book:)
The upshot to you, Esteemed Reader, is I'm using this time to secure some fantastic new interviews I can't wait to share with you. Plus, if I take the occasional break, I'm less likely to mention Joel Osteen in my reviews or to advise readers to drink while reading a book aimed at children:) What an exceedingly odd little man I am at times...
Enjoy your week, Esteemed Reader, and know I am yearning for the day we are reunited.
Have a relaxing break, Robert. You deserve it. Yes, I did see those posts with Dr. Uwe Stender and with Joanna Volpe! Thank you for that.
